Our Background
Founded in 1984 in Andelfingen, Switzerland, Elpacto started as a trading company for the product ranges semiconductors, diodes, connectors, etc. As a supplier in the entire German-speaking area, Elpacto increasingly developed into an important partner for active and passive electronic solutions. With the opening of the German branch five years later, the entire European market could be successfully supplied.
Our key milestones at a glance:
1995: Elpacto introduces its first proprietary silicone, polymide insulators and shielding foils. In addition, the first components in the ceramic program, such as aluminum oxide insulators, are developed.
1996: Elpacto moves completely to Germany. In addition, a new production line with its own tools is started.
1997 / 98: New punching and cutting machines are introduced to improve quality for increasing product requirements. Also, automation in production is expanded to be able to produce new technologies in the semiconductor and insulator field.
1999: Elpacto expanded its sales network and now supplies all European countries.
- 2000: Fully automated production for insulating films is started.
2001: A new production line for heat sinks and heat shielding films is successfully started.
2003: New gel-silicone materials, as well as silicone-free materials, are developed.
2005: Double-sided adhesive silicone material for direct application to transistors and other semiconductors is developed.
2006: Elpacto develops heat spreaders and heat sinks made of graphite and corresponding compounds.
2008: New redesing of ELPACTO.com
2011: We are moving! ELPACTO is now available at a new address. On the one hand ELPACTO is now located in new offices in Lüdenscheid, on the other hand our production and storage area has almost doubled.
2014: Development of the double-sided adhesive LED film type ETC.
2015: New design of the highly conductive gel film Type GR-m in Shore hardnesses 20 – 60.
2019: We expand our market activities and product portfolio. In addition to technical innovations, new types of conductive films for various applications in electronics and industrial use have been added in recent months.
